For over a decade, we have organized summer camps where children not only learn English but also build community; year after year, they reunite with their friends at GOLA.
The themes of the camp are designed so that children continue to acquire the language in a natural and immersive way while enjoying outdoor activities that are planned and crafted for this purpose.
During this summer period, we make the most of caring for pets and gardening, in addition to continuing with the typical activities of Gola: storytelling, crafts, karaoke, STEM, cooking, and games. Although intensive in terms of language production, the more relaxed environment of the camps also encourages the use and production of the language in a freer way.
On Thursdays, as long as the weather permits, we organize water games, creating different stations so that the children not only have a great time but also stay safe. Children should bring a swimsuit, towel, and closed water sandals.
On Fridays, we have movie time with popcorn, and we have incorporated our Zumba class to say goodbye to the week.
The camps run weekly from Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, although the center opens its doors from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist families with work-life balance. We do not have a lunch service, so children can bring their breakfast and/or lunch if they have extended hours.
It is important that they bring a snack for mid-morning, comfortable clothing and footwear, a cap, and sunscreen.
